David R. McCain, MBA, CFP®, CIMA®

Dave is a Senior Managing Partner and the Chief Investment Officer at Crossbridge Wealth Management and Benefits Group.  His primary responsibilities include oversight of the firm’s investment strategy, coordination of the firm’s asset allocation models, and the selection of managers, mutual funds, and individual securities.  Dave’s extensive industry experience and education make him well suited for these complex tasks.  Dave is also responsible for establishing comprehensive financial plans for clients. 

 

Dave obtained his MBA in finance and accounting in 1987 from the Simon School of Management at the University of Rochester, one of the top business schools in the county.  He began working in the financial services industry in 1986 as a credit analyst and branch manager with Citicorp.  In 1990, he began working as a financial adviser at JC Bradford & Company, a large southeast regional brokerage firm.  In 1993, he became the branch manager of the Johnson City office of JC Bradford.  He became a Partner at JC Bradford in 1995, and was Branch Manager of the Year in 1998.  In 2000, PaineWebber purchased JC Bradford, and later in that same year, UBS Financial Services purchased PaineWebber.   In 2007, Dave left UBS to form McCain Naegle Wealth Management.   In 2009, McCain Naegle Wealth Management merged with Crossbridge Wealth Management and Benefits Group

 

Always wanting to improve his expertise in the investment business, Dave obtained his Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) certification in 2003.  This is an advanced investment management certification which evidences Dave’s expertise in structuring well-diversified investment portfolios using advanced portfolio management research and techniques.  Dave then obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation in 2006.  These advanced certifications require rigorous annual continuing education and study, which keeps Dave informed regarding changing trends in the investment and planning areas.

 

Dave has been an active member of the community.  He has worked with the Chamber of Commerce, Boys to Men - where he was a founding board member, Providence Academy - where he was a board member, chairman of the board, and chairman of a major capital campaign, and other organizations.  He attends Trinity Baptist Church where he has served as Chairman of the Finance Committee, taught Sunday School, and been a choir member.

 

Dave is married to Jennifer and has three wonderful children, Matt, Katherine and Colleen.   His interests include spending time with his family, golf and running.
